So, we arrived perfectly on time (excluding the fact that we intended to arrive an hour early to do some 'music business') and was greeted and attended to... the stage area was hastily cleared, flower pots were moved, equipment was brought, as well as tea, toast and water. We played our classic Americana & country tunes to a lunching, sunbathing, and very appreciative audience. We experimented with some of my original songs, playing many of them for the first time in public! I am booking in recording dates for my first full studio album so I am including more and more of my own songs in all my gigs now, to 'test the waters'!
It was very nice to see some regulars in the audience (who shall remain nameless!), and as always, as new people were exposed to my music, they joined the fold! Gig by gig, fan by fan, I love how personal the music industry is these days for a rising indie artist. All my support is from people who know me, and whom I have regular contact with on facebook, twitter, or via email or other social media, so if you're not involved already you can start here or sign up to my newsletter above. Thanks go to Chris Fry for arranging the gig and for stopping by! To the lovely Andy Nowak for playing with me! To all the people who came to see me, and of course to the Star Anise - Best Food In Town! Hope to see you again.
