3 Essential Things
we can all do at home to stay well
It's so important to stay calm, to stay focused on the positives we can take out of this experience, and to be pro active in taking care of ourselves during our quarantine time.
Here are my 3 daily essentials that help me make the most of this time at home:
Here are my 3 daily essentials that help me make the most of this time at home:
1) Some Form Of Learning
It's not just for children ;)
I believe that life is a journey of learning, and that we should never stop.
Easy ways to keep things interesting from home include reading, taking an online course, or listening to a podcast while cleaning the kitchen!
You can find online courses here: https://www.thegreatcoursesplus.com/, here: http://masterclass.com/, or any pretty much any subject on youtube. Why not take something up?
2) Exercising/Meditating
Doing something for you mind~body connection is a great way to use your home time to nourish yourself. How are you staying active?
I use youtube for yoga: https://www.youtube.com/user/yogawithadriene
And headspace for meditation: https://www.headspace.com/
If you're having trouble sleeping they have a great 'sleep' section!
3) Talking To Someone
This is a truly great time to write someone a letter or an email, phone a friend, or jump on a video call with your family. Studies show that writing letters to people who have been important in your life, even if you don't send them, still have a profound effect on our emotional well being, and since we have time on our hands to reflect on people who have been kind to us or who we have cared for, why not write down how we really feel? What we have really been grateful for and why?
